I have had one of these for years and it has been all over the world, Germany, Spain, & Egypt to name a few. I highly recommend for the guy who travels (great for a second carryon "the personal item" fits under the seat perfectly) or for just around town shopping. I just received a new bag, the first one's buckle stopped working, so I sent it back and got a new one (no charge and no worries!) which just finished its first trip to CA!
I had purchased one of the messenger bags a couple of years ago for myself, and have found it indispensable for traveling. It goes under the seat on planes, holds all my necessary stuff in the car, and packs everything for a one or two night trip. I liked mine so much I just purchased one for my niece who's graduating from college, and planning to travel for the next year.
This was a replacement purchase as our first bag (same model) developed a defect with the strap coming off the bag. My son loves the bag and LLBean replaced with refund when we returned the first bag. We are hoping this bag will last longer and not have the strap seperate fromthe bag.
