I teach 6th grade and ordered the LLBEAN Messenger Bag to serve a dual purpose of school bag and purse. While the bag is definitely too large to use as a purse alone; it's perfect for additional items which I take to and from school along with personal things as well. I love the bag. I had it monogramed for a more classic look. I know I am going to get many years of use out of the bag. I love all the LLBEAN totes, backpacks, etc that I have previously ordered.
Our family went to Utah and Arizona for two weeks for vacatopm. used the messenger bag as a combination camera bag/purse. Worked great. It carried two SLR cameras and and extra lens with no problem. Lots or compartments for camera memory cards and batteries and sunglasses and cell phones.
