Bought this messenger bag to replace one the same size from another mfg. Bean's bag is well-constructed and well-designed. The fabric is sturdy and attractive. Compared to prices of other messenger bags, this one is a very good value.
Although I have not yet taken this bag to Germany, I have been using it localy. What I was looking for was a well made bag with 1200-1500cc capacity, no divider in main compartment and a few internal zippered pockets. the sunwashed messenger has all of this and more.let me address the lack of carring handles on the bag.It's PERFECT WITHOUT THEM.the only place you could put handles is on the overflap and this would put strain on the latcht ,also if the flap was not latched you would not be able to use the handles.This makes an excellent replacement for my small ski pack that i usually use as a carry-on.Not only is the bag super functional, it's also good looking...no need for changes...no floor .no handles ,no divider.
I have searched for the right bag for years and I have finally found it. This bag is durable and lightweight. No matter what I put in it; it nevers feels like I am weighed down. There are plenty of pockets for everything that I need to carry, so I don't even carry a purse anymore. I use this bag for carrying my college books and there is enough space for my laptop. I love the color and I never worry about it getting dirty or worn, because I believe that will just make it look better. I use it as a travel bag or even an overnight satchel. It was the best investment for my money. I am very happy that I bought this bag. I am really impressed about the customer service and the speed that it got to me. Just wonderful. I am throughly impressed with the service from LL Bean with this purchase.
