I've been buying these shirts for many years, and using them for active sports and workouts. Unfortunately, the 'carefree fabric treatment' that LL Bean now uses seriously compromises absorbancy. Not just stains, but sweat, beads up on this fabric, resulting in a 'slimy' feel. I wish they would offer at least one color (the Gray, perhaps) without this treatment, so as to have a better shirt for athletics.
I got a couple of these shirts for a Christmas gift a couple years ago and they haven't shrunk after many washes. I really like the fabric because it feels soft. These shirts are great for layering cause they aren't too thick but add plenty of warmth. Since I'm longer in the body most shirts don't fit me very well but the tall version of this shirt fits perfectly!
I work in the yard all year round so I am always looking for something attractive, durable, and comfortable and this tee is it plus I love the men's colors!
