I ordered this shirt years ago and at that time it was a great shirt. Now the neck is bigger and it is treated with chemicals to make it stain resistant. Our family does NOT buy clothing treated with chemicals and you should not either. L.L. Bean should offer non- treated or organic shirts in the future.
Just like Bean's short sleeve t-shirts, these are made of high quality cotton, much better quality than other tees. I wear long sleeve tees a lot, especially as a layer under sweaters. With other brands of long sleeve tees, the biggest problem I've had is that over time, the sleeves shrink (I have long arms). Very annoying. Bean's long sleeve tees have not shrunk yet, after several washings. The sleeve length is still perfect. Will definitely order more of these.
i really like this shirt. it's nearly unshrinkable. i've washed mine twice and it shrank a little. so if you're in between sizes, you might want to order up one size.
