Simple cotton long sleeve tee shirt. They sent what I ordered, it fits, it launders well, hasn't faded or shown any shrinkage…..isn't this what we ask and expect of L.L. Bean? I will assure you that if I ever get less than this expectation, the folks at Bean will sure hear about it. This product was exactly as advertised.
I wear this kind of tee under regular button up shirts so the tee gets washed every day but the button up shirt gets worn several times before washing...this tee has held up to washing very well...you can get cheaper tees but you'll buy them more often
My husband loves these shirts....he now has 2 and is getting a third one. I am going to order a couple for myself as well. Love the fit, the material, the colors, the quality ... even after many washing/wearing cycles!
I'm really disappointed in the quality of this shirt. I have been a Bean fan for decades and one of the things that kept bringing me back is the consistency of their products. If I liked a particular product, I could reorder it with confidence knowing that the new ones would be just as good--not anymore.
This was my favorite shirt for years. In fact I still have some that are 10 years old and have finally gotten worn out. I tried to replace them with this new version and was excited to see that the fabric was just like my old ones, that is, until I washed them. After only a couple of cold water washings and low temp dryings, the shirts don't even make down to the top of my jeans.
It's really sad to see that even Bean has succumbed to profits before customers mentality. I now have 100.00 worth of rags I can wax my car with.
