ProsDurable, Great Value, Comfortable, great for travel
Just bought this as a gift for my husband. It is similar to another I got and will travel well, important that it doesn't look like a wrinkled mess when you pull it out of the suitcase. I think I will also be able to spot clean any dining accidents so it can last longer (i.e. less packing). The blue stripe looks "sharp" (hope he likes it as much as I do!).
Certainly this is a wrinkle proof shirt, but it does not have the feel of 100% cotton. It feels more polyester than a polyester shirt. In very hot weather it gave me a bad rash on the back of my neck and it felt starchy stiff and unnatural after washing and drying one (1) time. I thought repeated washings would help soften it, but the shirt is still uncomfortable after several washings and I would choose a light 100% cotton shirt that I have to iron over this abomination of science and fabric any day. Unfortunately, I will be returning it soon, something I have rarely done with LL Bean products including other shirts.
I recently purchased two wrinkle resistant shirts and my husband does not like the feel of the fabric, stiff and could be too warm for summer. I've been trying to find a soft cotton, trim fit. He is slim and most shirts are to baggy. We love Bean. Your catalogue and descriptions are perfect but I can't find this combination. Not enough trim fit shirts
