I have this jacket for 4-5 years in medium periwinkle. I'm 5'7, 150lbs and it fits great. The fit roomy if you need to wear a sweater, even a bulky one. It's warm enough even for trip to Siberia in a winter(I've done that). For New Jersey one downside is the shell is not water-resistant and gets wet during wet snow/slush. It rains a lot in a winter in NJ and water-resistance is a must, that's why I have a different jacket for mix of snow/rain days. It looks like new after many washes, I use a mix of hydrogen peroxide with Dawn dish detergent of stains and it does look like brand new even after 4-5 winters.
This is the second time I have purchsed one of these coats. They are very warm and last for years. The "fur" around the hood is ugly, and the coat itself has a very boxy fit, not very stylish.
This coat was bought in late summer because I have noticed that these coats are popular and sell fast. It is light. I like the paper white color. Too warm to wear now. Will be nice to have a new winter coat.
Very comfy and flattering fit! I am 5'3 and bout this when I was 150lbs, and the medium fit great. It even worked when I was 4-5 months pregnant with twins. My only complaint about the coat is that, while, warm, I wouldn't say it's great in weather say, below 20 degrees. I found I had to add layers underneath.
