I bought this coat 3 years ago and am 98% still satisfied with it. I live on the south shore of Lake Ontario and we get very nasty cold winds and snow in the winter. This coat has done a great job of keeping me toasty warm. The one thing that keeps me from giving this a 100% is the lining of the hood is pink. I shower, wash my hair daily and don't use hair gel, mousse or spray yet the lining looks dirty. No matter how hard I've tried, I can't get it looking pink again. If I could give LL Bean a suggestion, change the color of the lining of the coat to a dark color. I'm embarrassed when I take the coat off and hang it up out in public.

I'm already very attached to this new coat of mine - it has been keeping me warm in a heavenly kind of way for the last few weeks I've had it. I love that it doesn't overheat me when I am inside, but is impenetrably warm when worn outside. The arm length is a little short for me (I'm about 5'9" and never thought I had gorilla arms) but is still fine. I love the warm fleecey cuffs that keep the wind from blowing up your sleeve. The coat seems a TINY bit big in the body to me, but I didn't see that as a problem since the style this year seems to be something along the lines of oversize, hooded, 3/4 length coats. Unbeatably functional and attractive for a great price!

I bought this coat in cream for myself. Loved it so much, bought it for my daughter and daughter-in-law, too! Just got the 3/4 length one for my 88 year old mother, who gets cold easily. She loves the comfiness + the furry hood! I know she will love the super warmth when it turns cold. This coat keeps me warm even when the wind is blowing bitterly and it is in the single digits! You won't want any other coat for winter, ever!

I purchased this coat a couple of years ago in both black and white and it is GREAT. Keeps me warm, and when the hood is up and velcro'd, it keeps my head warm, dry and lets no wind in. HOWEVER, two things to keep in mind: heed LL Bean's advice and zip off the fur ruffle from the hood prior to washing. I forgot to, and I ruined the ruffle. Second: the inside of the black coat is PINK! It was not pictured that way, and I don't care for the pink on the inside of the coat & hood. I would have picked another color had I known. I also purchased it in white which is absolutely beautiful, HOWEVER, after a couple of years of use the white color has become dingy-looking and prone to becoming soiled which does NOT come out in the wash even with stain treatment.
