This coat is very warm, but the hood is really annoying. When the hood is velcroed closed I feel like I'm being entombed, and when it's not velcroed it just flops around because there is only a short zipper to hold it onto the coat. I had to add extra buttons on the hood at the flaps because the ones that came with the coat didn't work well. The coat itself is really warm, and keeps me warm even on the coldest Vermont winter days. The fit is voluminous though. I have a medium (I'm 5'8 and 140 lbs) and it fit even when I was 8 months pregnant. It could use some slimming stitches. Overall, this coat does it's job--keeping me warm, but it could use some modernization.

This coat is perfect. I am a size small and usually order a medium for more room. I order a small in everything from LL Bean & everything fits just right. It is light weight any very warm and cozy.

This is the best coat I have ever had for cold upstate NY winters. I have had the long coat for 4 years, and decided to purchase the 3/4 length coat in a different color this year. I recommend this coat for everyone who wants a comfortable, toasty warm coat without bulky weight, and would like to add that this coat washes and dries beautifully.
