The zipper opens on the left, which takes some getting used to. The snaps are on a reinforced strip and hold the coat together nicely when I don't feel like using the zipper. The hood fits perfectly, keeping the wind out without falling in my face. Very warm and comfortable; I'm sure I'll be wearing this for years.

This coat is very warm and has nice details - like the extra interior pocket for glasses as well as the zippered interior pocket. I also like the hidden cuffs that keep the wind from blowing up the sleeves. The one issue I have is with the velcro that closes the opening at the neck - the exposed velcro catches on everything it touches so I need to cover it with another piece of velcro.
I bought this coat in November, 2011. It provided excellent warmth even in single digits. However, after my trip to the White Mountains region, feathers started to poke out at various places. Since I bought a Dark Rasberry, the feathers were quite visible and looked very ugly. It was disappointing and I had to exchange it for an Ultrawarm Long coat instead. I had high expectations from this coat, and from LLBean. Hopefully the new one will help me regain my confidence them.
Coat is very cozy and warm. Protects well from the cold and wind, double zipper is convenient but at times difficult to start zipping. under liner can get caught when reverse zipping too. Overall, I am very pleased with the look and comfort, has three zippered pockets that are very accessible.
