Ultrawarm Coat, Three quarter Length

ProsGreat Value

This coat was purchased for a family member who lives in Manhattan.

The Ultra warm was what caught her eye.
Sadly, it is not as warm for the cold of
NYC where travel on buses and walking are the norm.

She is wearing a winter vest under the coat to keep warm. Perhaps a fleece lining would have been more effective
for warmth.

Not as warm as advertised.

ProsDurable, Comfortable

Just returned from 35 minutes of brisk walking with the dog. Temp is +7 F, wind chill is -10. This coat is rated at 5F to -40. No way. After just 1/2 hour, really cold-especially across the shoulders and back. I had the hood up and fastened and all snaps, etc. closed. I was wearing a turtleneck and medium wt. sweater underneath. Great coat-but not to -40 as advertised.
