I've had this coat for four years and just bought my second not because I needed it just wanted another color. I have never been cold in this coat and I walk to work everyday regardless of weather the coldest New England wind never goes through this coat.

While looking for a good coat for Fairbanks AK, I was looking at coats that were twice the price for the same coat when I decided to look at ll bean because they've always had good products. It's been down to -45 so far this winter and this coat keeps you nice and toasty. It's so light weight that you wouldn't think it is as warm as it is! I would recommend this coat to anyone living in extreme cold weather, you will still nice and warm. It does run a little bit I usually go up to a large for coats so I can layer but no need to with this coat Medium fit big enough to wear 2 sweaters under.

I am so pleased with my new ultrawarm coat! It really does keep me nice and warm, yet it isn't bulky. The 3/4 length is perfect for keeping the wind and the cold away when I take my dogs outside for a good hour long walk, just outside of Boston. A great value and a good looking winter coat. I've received lots of compliments about it. Haven't had to use the hood, yet!
