Reading other reviews on how very warm this coat is, I purchased it. It didn't feel as warm as the old down coat I was replacing. I expected it to be loose enough for heavy clothes underneath, but it just about fit me. I also had to play with the zipper to close the coat several times. Other than that, the coat appeared to be made well. Sorry, but I sent it back.

I have a shorter down coat from another source , but wanted a longer one that was a little less casual. This fits the bill. It is comfortable and warm. I only wish they had lined the collar with fleece so it felt better against your neck in the cold. I love that the fur collar is removeable.

After seeing this coat on a friend I knew that I was going to get one for me. I ordered it right after Christmas. A few days later it went on sale. I emailed ll bean and they immediately applied the sale price to my order. This is one of the reasons I love shopping LL Bean. I received the coat and I wear it every where. I love the 3/4 length as it covers the top of my legs and keeps me toasty as I walk my 3 golden retrievers in our cold Northern Michigan weather.
Yes, this coat is WARM, but the styling and sizing did not work for me, and so I am returning it. The coat came to my knees, not three-quarters as advertised. (I am 5' 5".) The collar and neck line were not well fitted. The faux fur trim is thin and cheap-looking. Not a winner for me.
