I had my eye on this coat for a while, so when my son and his wife gave me a gift certificate for Christmas I ordered it in the dark Raspberry color. I got it just in time for the real cold weather moving in. I was warm with my layers underneath and I love the light weight feel of the coat and the three quarter length. The hood is a nice feature giving extra warmth around my face and the sleeves have a cuff attached underneath to keep your arms warm. I received many compliments on the color. I only wish I had ordered the mittens to match before my size was sold out. Thank you once again LLBean!
This is no "dark raspberry". It is hot blazing pink. Also, I usually wear a PXL, but it was *way* too big. But it is lightweight and very soft, and wow warm! I will return it for the winter white coat in petite Large and take another chance.
Having had zippers fail on two previous down outer garments, I was really pleased to get a substantial zipper on this coat. The hook and loop adjustable hood and collar are excellent features for extended times in inclement weather.
I was looking for a lightweight 3/4 length hooded coat that would keep me warm. I've been out walking the dogs in frigid temps with biting winds and this coat has delivered. Highly recommend.
