Mother-in-law saw this jacket while we were out Christmas shopping and fell in love. Tried it on and it was all we had to get her out of it. The fit is perfect and we all know he value of an LL Bean down coat!!! Snuck back and bought it for Christmas, she is so very happy! Definitely recommend this coat for the fit, the quality, and the warmth. Oh and it's beautiful too!!!
needed a super warm coat for dog walking. I hate being chilled and this coat works. This morning it was 7 degrees. I was not chilly at all and even stayed out for 30 mins playing frisbee with my pup. He highly recommends this coat to dog owners.
Its light,warm, roomy enough to wear a thick sweater under. long enough to keep thighs warm. hood is nice and mostly stayed in place.
Can't say if attractive, don't look in mirror...don't care. it's warm.
I agree with other reviewers that the coat runs big, but the S(reg) fit me perfectly (enough room for a heavy sweater). Definitely, size down, as I am normally a medium or medium petite in LL Bean clothing. The coat is long on me - 5'2", 140, but the sleeves are perfect, (I would imagine they might be short for some) . I have an athletic shape narrow hips, straight waist, broad shoulders, and large biceps so the straight and non-fitted is what I am looking for. I have tried on every down coat in just about every brand, and could never find one that fit properly, until I finally tried this one.
