ProsDurable, Great Value, Comfortable, Performing as Expected, worth every penny!
I walked my two dogs early this morning, with the temp reading at 21 degrees, with a 35 mph wind, gusting up to 35 mph, and at a 4 degree windchill. My 3/4-length coat was great. I live in the prairie land of East Central IL, and the wind takes no prisoners here!
What I really like about this coat, is that it delivers. It lives up to it's description and then some. It also works with you, in that you can achieve many levels of warmth, and still "breathe" in the cold. This morning I had a light polar fleece underneath and a hat under the hood. I could feel the wind whipping steadily, but was not cold at all. The only thing cold were my legs, which was not the coat's fault. (I had on a thin pair of jeans with no long johns.)
Last week the weather was in the 30s and I went out with only a t-shirt under the coat, and the hood loosely up. The coat was perfect in pushing away the cold, but letting me walk in comfort without sweating.
I would buy this coat again, and would recommend the longer one for those who get really cold, and often. I own the raspberry-colored coat, and it is bright (but not neon). I love the color. If you live in a gloomy area of the country, I recommend this color to cheer you up! It looks great with all colors of scarves or gloves.
Love this coat--very warm and no weight--only negative: the double zipper is kind of tricky and takes time to get it right--would buy another coat full length, but it doesn't seem to be available

I purchased the long coat after thinking about it for quite some time and when it when on sale, I had to buy it. It's perfectly lightweight and VERY warm. I've owned the short version for 2 winters now and absolutely love that one - so I wanted to go for the full length, too. I'm 5'4" and 130 lbs. and the regular small fit perfect - hits right at lower calf. Cozy, functional, and a great value. Can't wait for the snow!
