I absolutely love this coat. It's very warm. Have worn when temp. was in the low teens and I was totally comfortable. Cuts wind too! I ordered the berry color and it's great. The two-way zipper is a must for driving with the longer length-don't need broken zippers from the strain of sitting in a zipped coat. I find the size medium just right - I weigh 141 and can wear with bulky sweaters. The only down sides are the hood and pockets. Hood is way too large-has been removed - and would be great if pockets were deeper as my leather driving gloves don't fit all the way inside. All in all, am very glad I ordered!

Wasn't sure of this coat when I first took it out of the box. I couldn't get past the cheap looking faux fur piece on the hood. Very disappointing. Almost sent the coat back, but I took it off and am very happy with the style and fit of the coat. I am a Large to X-large and I ordered an X large. Hfave worn it several times and it seems plenty warm in windy 20 degree weather so I anticipate it will suit my needs during the upcoming frigid snowy days in Wisconsin.

This coat is incredible! It's ultra-warm without being too bulky or heavy--perfect for walking to & from work on a windy, rainy, cold day! The fabric, stitching, etc. are all of the highest quality--as expected from LLBean. Another successful purchase--and another reason why I keep coming back to LLBean.

I thought I would look like a giant marshmallow in this coat and was crossing my fingers until the coat arrived. But, the off-white color is so pretty and the perfect winter color at least in my opinion. Everything I own is black. I just thought I'd be different this year and try a new color. I am very happy!
I am 5'6" and about 130 pounds. The extra small was snug so I went with the small and it is perfect with enough room for a big sweater.
I was impressed with the cellphone pocket which is on the inside of the coat and an added surprise. The pockets are lined with a super soft and very warm flannel. The hood does remind me of the old Snorkle coats from the 70's when zipped up. But, there is a very "thoughtful" feature: a velcro strap on the back of the hood so you can draw and secure the hood back a bit so it frames your face better and doesn't hang over so much. Though, having the option to cover up completely will be nice on a blustery winter day.
