This coat is exactly what I was looking for and the reviews helped me select size, etc. Just got the coat and it is great. One exception is the color. It is not dark raspberry. It is bright raspberry which changes my love of this coat. I had assumed the darker color shown on the website could be a more neutral tone. But it is a color statement. My husband's response was immediate: Good thing LL Bean makes it easy to exchange! And so I shall.

I'm really enjoying wearing this coat and the coverage of being longer than a parka. It's light and not bulky and I stay nice and warm. This is my first down coat and what a difference it makes in keeping me warm. Even rain rolls right off. I highly recommend!
I love the coat! It is very warm. It is a little large in the upper body area, but I do not think a smaller size would fit over my hips very well. I must say I was disappointed in the color. Online the dark raspberry is a beautiful dark colored coat. The one I received is close to a regular raspberry color and is much lighter and brighter than what I wanted. I was trying to get away from the everyday black that all of my coats are, so I took a chance with this color. I wish the website was closer to the actual color of the coat, and if it was, I probably would have purchased the black color, knowing I would like it. I do love the coat, and I am going to keep it. I just wish it was a darker color. I plan to keep it for many years, so I was hoping I would fall in love with the color.
