I purchased this coat for my daughter's birthday present. She recently moved from Hawaii to Montana where it can get cold as early as mid November. The coat has already been put to the test, and has proven to be very warm, light weight, washable, and stylish. I know that down coats and style are often mutually exclusive, but this one looks and feels good. The daughter is happy, and so am I. I would highly recommend this coat to anyone who wants to keep warm and not look like the "Michelin man.
ProsDurable, ill-fitting, great color, poor design
I loved the color and the feel of this coat when I received it in the mail but was so disappointed when I put it on. The shape was so unflattering that I really just looked like a giant marshmallow. The quality was excellent, but the coat was absolutely not fitted or feminine at all. I'm 5'4", 120 and ordered a S, returned it for an XS hoping it would be better, but the only difference between the two was that the sleeves were shorter in the second. I ended up ordering a very similar (but much more flattering) coat from a competitor.
I was trying to duplicate a calf-length down coat I purchased from another retailer.I found this coat to be lacking in down fill content and the sizing, although normally correct, was a tight fit (with sleeves being a little too short). Reluctantly, Ihad to return it and did not choose an alternative.
