First wearing this week in sleet and rain, water beaded up, so stayed dry. Did notice while scraping windshield, hood is big and floppy if not secured, however kept me dry and warm. Second wearing dry and cold with wind gusts and I was warm as toast, could have easily skipped a layer. Good length and more flattering than you would imagine for a down coat.
I love this coat. I have the longer version which is great for going out on more elegant events but for an everyday coat to go shopping in or, as in my case, dog walking, this is just right. It is warm, cut loosely enough that you can layer under it and washable. The hood is ajustable and there is a zippered inner pocket for tissues, lip balm etc. There is a separate pocket for the cell phone so you don't have to fumble through tissues etc in the zippered pocket. I love the spruce green color as it doesn't show the dirt as does my pale blue longer version. I love this warm comfortable coat!
This coat is very soft and warm. The hood is kind of deep, but I think that will come in handy when I'm out on windy days. I live in Maine and it was 18 degrees today and I spent a good amount of time outside and stayed very warm. I am 5'4" and 125 lbs and have the size small, which still has room for me to wear sweatshirts under. The length hits at the top of my knee. Love this coat!
