this is the first coat I've owned that "deals" with the Vermont climate. I have had a ton of compliments when wearing it, so obviously it looks good too. I tried the jacket first, but decided to exchange it for the mid-length version - definitely a wise choice! as for "recommending it to a friend", I haven't needed to - they have asked me where I got it!
I received this as a gift from my mom, she ordered it in a medium. It was so large I could wrap over 10" of material over each other when the coat was unzipped.
So I ordered another, in a "small" when this coat became available. Trouble is, this is not available in stores, so I only had the size chart to go by (or guess by...really).
Turns out the small is also too large for my frame. I'm truly frustrated, because the coat is extremely warm and I love the color..but the darn thing is ginormous on me.
I'm 5'7", 135lbs, 32C bust and a size 8...I might order the XS...but uggggh! If you're a slender pear shape with a small chest, you'll probably be frustrated with this coat.
