I highly recommend this coat. I have it in the long version and a second one in the 3/4 length, both in black. Both coats have had plenty of wear in the wintertime, been washed/dried per the instructions and are still in very good shape. The new 3/4 length coat is replacing the black 3/4 length one which in turn is destined to replace a very old "work in the yard" type coat. The new coat is in the Spruce color and is a lovely shade of green. This coat has proved to be the warmest down coat I have ever had, and we get very cold, windy days during the winter. I got the XL in order to wear heavy sweaters/jackets when needed. I am 5'4", 153 lbs. If you can spring for the extra dollars, the very long coat is excellent.
I'm thrilled that this coat is actually warm enough for me here in the heart of the Rockies, I took a chance when I ordered it. But, it is indeed cozy and I love the sleeve liner at the cuffs. There's a lot of nice attention to details on this coat. It's a keeper.
Tried out my new coat expecting toasty warmth and I was disappointed. It wasn't even that cold out and I felt the cold through this coat (I had a t-shirt and hoodie on underneath).
Pros: I love the slightly more fitted arms, the sleeves are a good length and I like the gusset in the sleeves to keep the wind out. I like the zipper and that the coat is washable.
Cons: Hood is way too deep, it falls over my face. Pockets are too shallow, I am constantly worrying my stuff will fall out. Felt the cold through the material and it wasn't that cold or windy out (-4 C/ 24F)
I wouldn't buy this coat again. I'd put my money toward something better, maybe with a more wind-resistant outer shell.
