I spent a lot of time online and in stores trying to find the right coat for winter, and finally chose this one in 3/4 length. I'm definitely not disappointed. It's warm, light weight, not bulky, has great features, and looks good. It's like wearing a personal down comforter! I've had a number of compliments. I bought the brown one this year and will buy the black one next year.
I am extremely fussy when it comes to coats and I usually wear a down vest with fleece or sweaters underneath because I hate anything heavy or constricting...even when the weather gets nasty. But during our last heavy snowfall here in CT, even my down vest didn't cut it and I needed something to protect not only my torso but my head with 50 mph winds. The reviews were accurate on this coat...it is so lightweight you don't even know it's on unless you're inside and then you get a tad warm. I am 5'3" and about 125 lbs. and got the petite M and it fits perfect. The hood can be a little bit on the heavy side but can be removed and that's a plus. I also love the thin lining in the sleeves that makes it easy to put on. Wonderful to be able to wash a down coat...another plus.
I've only worn it twice so I can't say how it will wash/wear or how durable it will be in the long run but so far it's been very good and not at all bulky. I bought the off-white and thought I'd be looking like a marshmellow...NOT! It's a very nice fit and flattering.
