ProsGreat Value, Comfortable, Performing as Expected
I love this coat! It fits great and is very warm--even in 20 degree weather and I am still very warm when going for a walk (it doesn't get much colder than that in GA). The zipper takes a little getting used to, but I really like the hood and the velcro fastener at the neck really keeps you super protected from the cold. I bough the paperwhite color and feel like I would be safe walking at night with it--cars can see me in it instead of a dark color.
I bought my ultrawarm coat because I live in centra Maine and I am out the door to drive a bus at 5:30 a.m. The coat keeps me warm with a long sleeve tee shirt and a mid weight fleece jacket. I wish there was more down in the sleeves and upper back portion of the coat that is why I gave it a four star rating. My LL Bean down parka seems to have more down in it. I received lots of compliments on the color which is Deep Raspberry and also on the fur around the hood. I wish LL Bean would make a coat a little shorter, just long enough to sit on. Keep up the good work!
I love this coat! It's pretty (I bought the blue chalk color), lightweight and warm. The fur on the hood is prettier than on many parkas; I just wish I could get hood part closer around my neck, but that is minor. It goes really well with the LL Bean sea green and brown snowflake hat and scarf I received for Christmas. It was a little pricey, so I hope it's durable.
