This coat is light, is super warm and fits wonderfully. I love this coat! I often refer to these types of coats as sleeping bag jackets, because of the bulk and michellin tire man fit, but this coat is neither.

This was the first winter coat I've ever purchased from LLBean, and I am glad I did! It is goose down, which keeps you warm when needed and fairly cool when temperatures are warmer. It's very cozy and comfortable! I can wear it indoors and not feel like I have to take it off, but I can also wear it when temperatures are in the 20s and still feel warm. I love how the hood fastens with velcro around your face. The only thing that's annoying is sometimes the faux fur hairs on the hood get in your mouth when you do that! The hood is also removable (zip/unzip), which is a nice feature. The coat is waterproof (water droplets roll off of it in the rain). The 3/4 length is perfect for keeping my legs warm.
This is the best winter coat I've ever owned, and if it ever wears out I will definitely buy another one. A great coat! Highly recommended.

I bought this coat for my trip to Germany in January 2011. I received it just in time for Christmas and my trip! This coat keeps you very very warm. I ordered the chocolate brown 3/4 length and I just love it. The hood extends past your face for those cold windy nights. The zip up pockets are great so you won't lose your keys or ID cards.
