This coat has a great fit and look, as well as being very warm and light weight. I ordered my regular size. Being only slightly fitted allows for a thick sweater under it even with a double D bust. Any more fitted would be too much, and any less would be too little. The shape is just right. This is the right combination of features for the perfect coat for colder days. I couldn't recommend it more!

This is an amazing jacket! It keeps you nice and toasty warm in the cold weather. I own an equestrian center and teach riding lessons, so I am outside in all weather. Eventhough I live in SC, it can still get plenty cold, especially when the sun sets. This jacket really keeps me warm. It is very confortable and stylish. I love the double zipper so you can give yourself more room around your legs for bending, etc. I am SO glad I found this coat! It will make my winter days teaching in the ring much more pleasant!!
I ordered this coat in 3/4 length as it is one of LLBean's most warm parkas and I needed a warm down-coat. I like the detachable, (fake)fur brimmed hood that keeps the wind from your face. Online the dark-rasperry was a deep warm color which I liked; I don't like many of the lighter, odd-colors (like pea and light-blue) that LLBean often have for women - I like the men's colors better. I returned the coat for two reasons: the sleeves cannot be tightened to keep the wind out (there is an inner sleeve but the coat sleeve itself appears quite open). As I wanted the coat to bike to/from work, the open sleeve doesn't work for me. Second, I didn't like the actual color of the coat - a somewhat lighter color. I bought the goose-down hooded parka instead (in navy blue) even if that hood isn't "fur"-brimmed. However, for walking around town I am sure this coat is great - looking great and probably quite warm (I haven't used it outside in the cold since I returned it).

This coat is one of the warmest I've ever had. With other coats I tried on the sleeves did not have enough lining. This one is perfect. The "quilting" doesn't make me look like a rolly polly. This winter is very windy so far and this coat really cuts the wind. The hood closure is nice and wide and when closed covers your mouth and cuts the wind that may go down the neck! One way to improve it would be much larger pockets. No room to feel safe putting anything with out fear of loosing it. Too cumbersome to try to use the (pocket) zippers every time. Thanks.
