it's not completely warm all over and that is the main reason for wearing a down coat. The wind and cold come in from the wide bottom and have plenty of room throughout the waist to chill me even though this coat is a medium I tried the petite and it the sleeves were too short, not sure whether the the regular small would have been too tight in the chest/shoulders. Please pull it in a bit around the waist or even have a drawstring at the bottom and/or narrow the overall width. The hood--fits well, warm and easy to use or to take off. The color is to die for. Right idea in general.

I live near Buffalo NY and needed a warm coat especially to walk the Dog. I bought it a few weeks ago and the temperature has been below 0 windchill for several days. This coat is nice and warm. There is enough room to wear a sweater under it if needed. I like the versatility of the hood and the snaps and so on. It's really great!

I had my old Bean 3/4 length coat over 10 years. Looked and looked for something similar - this is it! Only this is much lighter and warmer! I love it - many comments on the color - raspberry.
