I love the way this coat looks and it had everything I was looking for (down, 3/4 length, detachable hood) except it not fit me well. I am 5'4" about 134 lbs and the Medium was big on me. I'm usually a medium or sometimes a large so I don't know if the small would fit. I think if the coat was more tailored.... tapered at the waist a bit, it would have been perfect.
This coat is unexpectantly lightweight ( a good thing) and has great workmanship and comfort, but, I find it doesn't have as much down in it, nor is it as warm as I hoped. I live in Minnesota and am acclimated to the cold, but still, this coat has disappointed me a little.
I've been out birdwatching on several cold windy days and this coat is very warm and also very lightweight. Hood works well. Would have liked larger outside pockets but otherwise I am very satisfied. I wear petite sizes but got the regular for extra length of the coat and sleeves.
