This coat is absolutely perfect. It has a very nice flattering fit and at the same time keeps you incredibly warm. I love it, and will be recommending it to my friends and family alike. Oh, and the inside pockets provide an extra level of functionality. Very pleased with my purchase!!

This is definitely the BEST winter coat I have ever worn! It's so warm, sometimes (I lived in CT most of the time while owning this) I was a little hot...Better than being cold, if ya ask me! It's also not too heavy, which is nice. The hood is big so it fits without having to be tightened--also nice :-) The coat zips and buttons, too. The only thing that peeved me about this coat were (I bought mine in '08) the little buttons that were supposed to hold the hood snaps in place: they broke off so the snaps fell behind my head and were forever hard to reach when I wanted the added neck warmth. LL Bean, fix this please!
I usually wear a size S or M. I ordered this coat in a M to give myself some extra room to wear a sweater. I should have ordered a Small - I was SWIMMING in this coat when I tried it on. On top of that, it had no shape to it at all. It did feel warm, I'll give it that. But the hood was huge and the fur looked cheap and ridiculous. I was very disappointed with this big puffy coat.

Very Warm Coat

I purchased this coat based on those who live in very cold parts of the country. I myself live in Upstate New York, and the winters can get pretty nasty. I am very pleased with this coat so far, we have had some very cold mornings, and I have not been cold at all. The coat fit fine when I got it, I am 5'3" and about 130 lbs, I bought the medium. The double zipper is a non issue, I've had no problems with it. I like the faux fur on the hood, it gives it a nice touch. Love the length, no feathers leak out, I like the fact that the pockets have zippers, nothing falls out. I purchased the white coat, and it is very pretty, but dirt will be the issue. Hindsight tells me I should have purchased cranberry or brown. I would recommend this coat for people who hate the cold like me.
