This coat is exceptionally warm, particularly with 3/4 length. I'm a size 4-6 & had to send back the small for an x-small. Still, there is plenty of room for layers underneath. The sleeves are a great length, too & I really like the interior cuffs that help keep cold from entering there. It is "poofy" as down coats go, but very light-weight. A draw-cord on the inside to give a little more shape would be more flattering; that's why I gave it a 4 rating. How wonderful to have a winter coat that's not a dark winter color!! This is a wonderful coat!! It has everything I was looking for. Most importantly, it is WARM! I walk my dogs at night and wanted a coat that would keep me warm no matter what. The hood was essential and so was the longer length to keep my legs warm. Extra-nice features include the soft, soft lining in the cuffs and pockets, the face guard so I don't need to wear a scarf and fog up my glasses, the color (periwinkle), the drawstring around the hood to keep the wind out, and the fact that it is lightweight and comfortable. Some people complained that the zipper is tricky - I agree, but once you learn how to fit the two zippers together just right, it's not a problem - Just don't be in a hurry to zip up. I don't mind walking my dogs in cold weather now (especially when I add your fleece-lined jeans!) I couldn't ask for a nicer coat!
