This coat is a nice length to keep you warm, light, and looks good! I'm glad to have it on these 9 degree days! I bought the white which I love, but I noticed the same coat was on sale for $30 cheaper in the light blue color. Shouldn't all coats in the same style be the same price?
I wanted a warm coat for winter but not a parka type jacket that I wear for hiking and winter walking, etc. I wanted something with a little style for cold winter nights walking to the theater or a restaurant. For me, this coat is perfect. It's warm, stylish, fits well and protects me from the harsh cold and wind, especially at night when there's no sun to warm the earth. I just received this coat and am very happy with my purchase. I got the 3/4 length, and since I'm 5'3" it falls just below the knee, perfect for keeping out the wind. I am a size 8-10 but ordered the coat in a large, as I usually wear suit jackets to work. The fit is just right. It's not quite as warm as I expected, but I dress in layers so I think it will be warm enough. The dark raspberry is beautiful, and since it's an L.L. Bean, I know I'll get years of enjoyment from this coat.
