I love this coat. The length is just above the knee; it is very stylish with the fur trim in the hood.
It is very warm - our climate is very cold in the winter and this coat is toasty warm. It is well made with cuffs in the sleeves, inside pocket. Overall, it is not bulky.
This is a very warm coat. I'm from the southeast and am now in the northwest and needed something to keep me warm. It runs big in size, so I'd advise ordering smaller or your actual size and not a larger size. There is plenty of room for layering. Oh, and if you're wondering about the sleeve ends, there's an inner fitted cuff to keep the cold out! And its very comfortable!
This coat seems warm enough in the arms and body but the first day I wore it was a windy day and my legs got as cold as if I had on a shorter coat. I am sending this one back and exchanging for the longer version. I will say that the paperwhite color is very pretty - just as one other reviewer stated - a cross between cream and light tan, and the 'fur' is nice too - better than on my old parka. This new version is not as puffy the down parka I bought from LL Bean in 2003 so I am not sure if it will truly be as warm as that old parka but I am hoping it will be, and that the added length of the long version I am exchanging the 3/4 for will keep my legs warm this winter in chilly Boston.
I was so hopeful about this coat, as I love LL Bean products for value and quality. I ordered this in a size large in the Paperwhite. I am 6 ft. tall and slender, so I ordered a size up for sleeve length. I found the coat to be bulky and I truly looked like a marshmallow. Return it I did.
