This coat has all the llbean qualities I like. It is warm, has zipper pockets outside and inside the coat, a loop to hang the coat up on a coat rack, cuffs inside the sleeves; both hood and collar can be secured around my neck to keep out the Montana winter cold.
I just received my coat yesterday and I have to say I was worried that it would be too big and bulky. I'm only 5'2 and 112 lbs, so I thought it would just be too much. But I was pleasantly surprised that the XS/Petite fit perfectly! The down is not too bulky, it's actually pretty slim fitting and stylish considering it's a down/puffy coat. The length is perfect for me but if you're an inch taller I would definitely order the regular. I haven't gotten a chance to test it against the weather but it seems as though it will be pretty warm. (And I'm always freezing). I was burning up trying it on in the house!! I'm happy I went with this coat instead of some of the other name brands I was considering!!
This is my third ultrawarm coat. I have the shorter jacket and this 3/4 length coat in a size petite medium. I had the 3/4 length coat in petite large which I'd still wear if it weren't for the fact that it's way too big for me now. The coat is very roomy and very warm. Great for those wintry commutes!
According to the size chart, I should have gotten a medium. I went with my gut [I have somewhat broad shoulders-about 19" across- and a fairly small chest] and got a large. The shoulders/upper back could be a bit roomier, but otherwise it's okay. I'm looking forward to see how warm it will keep me when it gets cold.
