I love this coat, it's not too heavy but is still warm. Some of my other coats are heavy or bulky, this is the perfect weight. It looks good, the down isn't too puffy.
I ordered this coat because my zipper in my other ( Not LLBean) coat wouldn't zip. I received it quickly just before the cold weather. I love the Raspberry color. It is darker than I imagined and it is perfect. I was concerned about the cuffs because there was no description but they too are perfect, fleece lined. I have received multiple complements on my coat and love the warmth it provides. My sister is now going to buy this coat because it is the perfect 3/4 length.
This jacket pretty warm (perhaps not ULTRAwarm..), light and comfortable. I especially like the inner wristband on the sleeves and the interior pockets, although the cellphone pocket should be moved up a bit. The hood is nice.
The jacket runs very large. I would normally have ordered a medium but, heeding another reviewer's advice, I ordered a small, which is still roomier than it should be. And, each of the hood buttons popped off within a week and had to be resown, obviously disappointing. If I was in a location where returning it was an option, I probably would have exchanged it for something else..
This coat is truly the warmest coat I've ever worn! I've tried and returned the "big" name brands that are supposed to be the warmest around, but I will tell you those "big" name brands don't even come close to this one. I live on Long Island, so although we dont' experience temperatures like maybe Canada, it's still pretty cold and the older I get, the more I freeze in the extreme cold! This coat keeps me warm enough while driving that I don't even have to put the heat on! This is an outstanding coat and I know that I will never go elsewhere again! Thanks L.L. Bean!
