I have become the proud owner of the brown ultrawarm, three -Quarter length down coat. Most of the heavy duty winter coats during my adult life have been from LL Bean. I have found this coat to be of high quality with attention to the smallest details; for example the fleece inside cuffs, the inside cell phone pocket, double zipper and the warmth of the down without the coat being bulky. I would most definintly recommend this coat to anyone who wishes to endure the elements this Winter!
Bought a Medium Petite (I wear size 8 and feels true to size) and I am able to wear a light zip up jacket with it and scarf. I feel nice and warm. The inside wrist cuffs do help to keep the chill out. Deep pockets. Chocolate Brown is a good color.
Ordered this coat in brown but I really wanted it in black-the x-small was sold out. It is a beautiful, well constructed coat, not too puffy, but the body of the coat was too wide for me. I wish the body had been pared down a bit for a petite shape. I also did not like the way the hood fastened under my chin. The flap from the hood was uncomfortable once it was fastened.
Like this jacket a lot. Very warm, love that you can take the fur off the hood, good length. One thing - the zipper is a little tricky to work. I find it gets stuck quite a bit and it takes a little while to catch. A little frustrating but overall a warm winter coat.
