I wore this coat all winter and it was neither too warm nor too cold. It is light and has built in cuffs that keep the wind at bay. I liked it so well that I suggested a friend get it and she did. The only negative is that her full length coat was less expensive than my three quarters. It had gone on sale the week after I bought it. One other small problem is that I thought the fake fur was white and it is not. I am still glad I bought it.
This coat is now my favorite - it looks good, it feels good (ultra snugly!), has the perfect finish of LLBean products, and I can wash it at home! What else a New Englander could wish from a coat? I'm in love with it...
I picked out this coat hoping it would keep me warm on the trek to work. It did more than that, it made winter more enjoyable. The hood is perfectly fitted so that there is no need for a hat underneath which saves the hair. Plus the length is ideal if you have to walk up stairs, but long enough to keep your bum nice and warm. I don't think I'll need to buy another winter coat for a long time.
