I purchased this in brown about six years ago. I tried to replace it last year but it was sold out. I bought a few different jackets from various places with no success. When these became available again I ordered it right away. This is the warmest best fitting winter jacket I've found. Some of the newer styles are not roomy enough to wear a sweater/sweatshirt comfortably underneath. In Wisconsin we definitely need to layer our clothes in winter! The brown coat is still in use but due to a lot of wear it has a couple stains so it's a designated snow shoveling jacket!
I ordered this coat in advance of winter. Although I don't mind cold weather, I don't want to BE cold, and I think this coat will do the trick of keeping me warm. It is just the right length on me (5'4") in petite - just above the knee - and is very lightweight. I love the lavender color, and the detachable hood. Without the hood, the collar stands up, and will be perfect with scarves. I am totally pleased with this purchase. This coat replaces an LL Bean down jacket that I have owned - and loved - for several years. The lining is finally giving out.
