I love the jacket, the hood is a little big. I haven't used it in cold weather yet. I've lived in the south for the last 50 years and moved to Wisconsin 4 months ago. I'm hoping the reviews I've read about this jacket are correct.
Lovely coat - nice color, excellent fit, zipper works, snaps work, feels fine and cozy. I think I will be very warm this winter. Like the sleeve extra piece at the hand. Nice pockets and one inside. Just fine.
After the New England winter of 2014-15, I was looking for an incredibly warm , down coat that was long enough to cover my knees......I found it! I usually wear a size 1x in Llbean clothing and the Ladies XL fit perfectly! It is roomy enough to fit a light sweater under it. Now I feel prepared for whatever "Mother Nature" dishes out!
Although I really love this coat I think I will be returning it because it is too big. I have such a hard time finding winter coats to fit my small frame (5 feet, 105 lb.). Usually I wear an XS petite (almost always equates to sizes 2-4). I ordered this coat in that size but unfortunately, LLBean's idea of a XSP is a size 4. The sleeves are too long and the body is just too roomy even with a fleece on underneath. The quality seems to be ok.
