I am not fan of colder weather. I bought this for my winter trips and worn last winter. I'm 5'5", 140lb, chose Large for my wider shoulder. The coat is loose fit, bit bulky and heavier side.
Length: Quarter length coat covers my knees, long length goes down to my ankles. Quarter length of this coat seemed to be perfect at first, yet soon found that the bottom spreads out and allows cold air gets in all the time. It is very cold and bothering.
Warmth: In mid 40s weather, the coat to me is not warm enough. If I wear another jacket inside, it would be Michelin Tire, hard for me to move.
Wet Weather: Not sure if the outer material is water resistant. It gets wet when it rains.
Other: Off White looks nice, but turned yellow after getting wet a few times. Faux fur around hood is only heavy and coarse, not at all functional. Velcro strips on hood damaged my scarf.
May not be super good but still it is a reasonable goose down coat for the price. It though worth to invest more for longer and warmer, and better one for rain/ snow. But which one is better????
This is a beautiful coat and the Spruce is a very nice color. This coat is super warm and great for our New York State winters. I would definitely buy this coat again in another color. It fits well and I chose my original size XL. I hope this review helps anyone who is considering this item and I hope they will decide as I did to buy.
This coat will be perfect for the cold Michigan winters. I'm 5'2" and ordered the MP. It's a bit large, but will fit over a bulky sweater or blazer. The attention to details are wonderful. The coat has wind blocker sleeves, a detachable hood, zippered pockets, and best of all, a two-way front zipper allowing the coat to be opened a bit from the bottom for climbing in and out of vehicles. This coat is a winner!
This coat has been my best/favorite purchase...ever. The only reason I'm giving it four stars is because the hood does not stay up unless you have the fur on it. Otherwise fantastic product. I am still in college and have to walk outside almost every hour to get to classes and this has kept me warm even in the negative temps. I wear a size 8 in pants and a medium in shirts. A misses medium was the perfect fit. I tell any of my friends looking for a winter jacket about this coat. Very functional for all occasions, e.g., ice skating.
