This coat looked like it would definitely keep you warm, but it will not turn any heads...except those noticing the very ugly fur collar. It also runs very large. It was returned.
last year i missed out on purchasing a coat from llbean and said i would order early this year which i did. this coat is beautiful fits perfect love the color, its lighweight and i know it will be warm. i love ordering from llbean i ordered on a monday and it was at my home tuesday and no questions asked if i did not like it return it and i would get a credit. always pleased with llbean
I recently ordered this wonderfully warm and light coat in the pretty slate/pale orchid color. I was between ordering the large or medium. I wear a 10 top and 12-14 bottom. The medium was a bit snug for me around the hip area. I sent for the large and the fit will definitely allow for layering of tops and much more comfortable around hip. The two way zipper is a plus. The shoulder fit is perfect-not bulky,which I thought might be the case in the large size. Having just moved up from the South,this superb coat will keep me toasty warm! Many nice details-especially sleeve length and cuffed so nicely. Zip off hood and extra Velcro closing at the neck! Love the LLBean quality and customer service!
I'll be moving to Boston this fall from the South and everyone has told me I'll need a down coat. I settled on this one in teal and just got it yesterday. I can't wait for the cold to wear it! The second I put it on, I was instantly warm and cozy. The coat has a very soft interior and exterior. The removable fur on the hood, which I had missed in the product description, was a welcome surprise. I also love the fleece wind blocker in the sleeves. I ordered the teal and was a little concerned it might be a bit obnoxious after the fact but I'm happy to say it isn't! It's a beautifully understated teal. It's a great coat and I'd definitely recommend to anyone looking!
