Received my coat approximately 2 weeks ago and have worn it twice. The length is perfect for me (I am 5'3" tall); comes to my knees. The temp was approx. 39 degrees and this coat kept me very warm. I like the deep pockets on this coat and am enjoying the hood. It does fit close to the face; this has not bothered me, but it may be a concern to others who are looking to buy the coat. I got a small size and it fits me perfectly. I normally wear a medium, so the coat does run large. The fur trimming around the hood is not in keeping with the nice material of this coat. It does not complement the coat; looks cheap. I simply removed the fur and will not wear the coat with the fur. This coat is well made and presents a nice appearance. I chose the brown coat and I can say that it is a nice color but would have appreciated a wider selection of colors from which to choose. I am pleased with my purchase.
It was breezy today 12/18/14 and 37 degrees and the sleeves were NOT keeping my arms warm. If it was 35 degrees below as stated I would freeze to death. You would need one sweater and one bulky warm sweater than you would be okay. Love the color. Had to remove the fur trim as it really did look like road kill. For the money it should have been a lovely fluffy faux fur trim. Too bad as I did like having the fur trim to make the hood look nicer. sighhhh Otherwise I like the coat. I wish the Company would send me another hood faux fur trim. For the money I paid they should give me another faux trim fur.
this coat is awesome!! fit is great, looks great, feels great, nice and warm. love it!! the color,violet gets compliments everyday. would and do recommend L.L.Bean to all who will listen. thanks for the great coat. quality is always a given with L.L.Bean.
