If only it were socially acceptable to stroll the streets in a down comforter on cold days. Since it is not, this coat is the prefect alternative. This attractive, cozy, lightweight coat feels like you are wearing a down comforter and provides an adorable winter look.
I received this coat as a gift from my kids last Christmas (2013). They first bought a black one, it just wasn't warm. I wore it for a few weeks and realized the arms leak. I had a friend who LOVES hers, so I returned it for the Violet one. It is now December 2014 and once again I am cold. Today it was 39 degrees and I was cold. The wind just blows right through it. I want to love this coat but..... If I wear a fleece or my LL.Bean rain coat I am not cold, but just never warm. Do I really need to wear a fleece coat under a $200.00 coat????
Pop m'buttons & stick to m'sweater, shes a hottie!

After a mere 7 days of use I've ruined 2 sweaters with the velcro that does not have a flap to cover it when not in use, leaving it flailing in the breeze and snagging anything loopy nearby. Luckily for my husband I was out of town so it didn't catch on him.
By the end of my first seven days with the coat, I no longer had buttons that keep the front of the hood attached to the coat. Both had either fallen off or gotten pulled off in commuting the 5 blocks back and forth from my hotel to my place of work.
On the bright side, it is very light for the warmth it provides. Just don't wear anything that the coat finds attractive.....it's hungry!
The coat was beautiful and well made and warm. The problem was the fit. I am a solid medium and I was swallowed up in this coat - I looked like an eskimo. Not at all flattering and I think it could be if it was just tapered a little. Had to return it.
