I used the size chart to make my purchase, but the coat was still quite large, even while wearing a thick sweater. It was also surprisingly thin. I have had other down coats before and this one did not seem like it was going to keep me warm shoveling snow in New England. I returned this jacket, although I did like it enough to try to exchange, just for around-the-town wear. There were none left in my size.
My new ultra warm coat has failed to keep my arms warm. The core seems fine, but the arms are cold. I will be looking for something else as winters here are, well, cold! I do love the length.
This coat is really attractive and made beautifully. It seems like every detail has been carefully thought out - the extra length cuffs, well done pockets, closures for the hood, etc. make this a wonderful winter coat and really good for places that have real winter.,
