I love my new coat. It is exactly what I thought it would be with all of the features I was looking for. Amazing to get so much warmth with such light weight. Also, L.L. Bean's customer service was great; the coat shipped before the date scheduled. Great value for the price.
I was so excited for this coat and waited patiently for the UPS delivery truck but was left sadly disappointed when I got it out of the box. I'm 5'8" and about 110 lbs and the extra small fit me like a medium in the waist. The coat itself is beautiful and felt super warm but even with my bulkiest sweaters on I couldn't make myself not look like an oversized marshmallow since I ordered it in white. Sadly, this will be going back so I can get a more flattering style.
I ordered the purple coat in my regular size. The color was beautiful but the coat had little styling and seemed huge on me-like I was wearing a giant purple comfortor. Hood was also strange fitting and too large. The fur was hanging in my eyes. A smaller size, although it might fit better would not have looked better because it was so straight and bulky. I sent it back.
