I researched dozens of coats before purchasing this. I patiently waited till it was back in stock before ordering. It's a great, soft, light-weight coat. However, after wearing it a handful of times in a month, it started bleeding down feathers so much so I was constantly picking feathers from the exterior of the coat near the seams. Returned it unfortunately. Still a loyal LL Bean customer.
I love everything about this coat. It fits perfectly, and it looks very nice. The zipper operates very easily and is easy to reach and start, especially given that it starts low on the front. The pockets are perfect for hands and storing keys or small phone. I especially like how easy it is to wear for driving. Stays put when you slide into the seat, and there is ample room in the arms and shoulders for driving. It is light weight and not bulky, making it ideal for around town. The design of the quilting keeps you from looking like the Michelin Man. It is very wind resistant, which is a great feature when you are confronting cold mountain winds. I haven't tested it out in extreme cold, since I have a Baxter State Parka for that. I also don't wear the hood for sort of the same reason. Basically, this coat is everything I was looking for.
