Bought this late in the season; didn't get my color choice but also didn't get quite what I'd expected. I am in TX (am formerly from the NE), and TX has had some unusually cold temps this winter from those sweeping polar fronts. Wore this coat the first day I had it and it was toasty warm. The second day, however, the temps were more biting and I was chilled in it, even while wearing layers underneath. It was also windy that day and I'd wanted to protect my head with the hood. The flaps on the hood don't even reach each other to Velcro closed. I thought this really weird -- unless I'm doing something wrong, the hood must be ornamental only. Otherwise, the product is true fitting - which pleased me greatly, and is extremely well made. Unlike other reviewers, I found the pockets perfectly placed.
Would recommend this coat. Fits perfect very nice material. Washes nicely. Love the adjustable hood. The only thing I would add is more down in the arms. Arms area seems a cold on very cold days. Not noticeable on mild winter days only on extreme cold weather Also the pockets need to be deeper. Almost not big enough to put gloves/mittens. Need to add more interior pockets. The zipper along the hood needs to extend from side to side. An updraft wind comes in where the zipper ends. Love the 3/4 length perfect for deep snow. Not too long. Please bring out more colors.
This coat is the perfect weight, length, and style. The hood can be used to keep my head warm and dry in rainy, windy weather. It's comfortable, light, and not overly bulky. I purchased it in black and it looks great with jeans. I definitely recommend this coat to anyone needing a coat in very cold, wintery weather.
I have two of these jackets, one below the waist and the other below the knee. This coat is not bulky--light weight yet very warm. I have worn it this winter in the several weeks of -30 to -50 below weather we have had in Minnesota. Love it and reasonably priced!
