I love this coat! I ordered the purple color and it is quite pretty. It is warm and comfortable, but lightweight. Keeps the wind from blowing through me during daily activities. It's roomy, so it leaves room for sweaters and layering underneath. Worth every penny! Would recommend.
Love, love, love this coat. It's really warm and comfortable. It looks good (or as good as anything can look in winter sub-zero temps this year). The pockets are big enough to stash heavy gloves. The three-quarter length is perfect to keep your legs warmer than a jacket does. My only very minor complaint is that the fur trim hinders your line of sight when you pull up the hood. Not a big problem--the fur comes off.
I was so excited to see the size I needed back in stock (was taking a risk with a small as I fall between an XS and a S), and ordered it right away. I need a good coat for all my walk based commuting in New York City, and thought this would fit the bill.
What a disappointment. The coat on the model appears to have a feminine shape- in at the waist and a flare out towards the hips. In reality, the coat has a completely straight cut, which looks ridiculous and I can't imagine it would flatter many women. It is huge on my upper body (and I am not exactly tiny up there- 32D), and fitted on my hip and booty (exactly where you don't want items to be tight). Maybe if you have a more straight body type this would work, but for any sort of hourglass figure- this just makes you look lumpy. Back it goes.
I am more than thrilled with the fit of this coat. It doesn't bind in the shoulders and allows you to have flexible movement. I have RA and the weight of a coat is important to me, as is needing it to be warm on my joints and this one is lightweight and doesn't feel like it dragging me down. And it's been super warm on mornings that we have been in the single digits with significant winds. I ordered my regular size and the fit was dead on. I use hoods on my coats and didn't like the fur on this hood as it seemed to hang in my eyes but not to worry it zipped right off.
If you are in the market for a warm, well fitting, non-heavy winter coat I would very much recommend this one.
