After reading other reviews, I was skeptical. This coat is GREAT! It fits exactly the way it should (ordered my regular size). It is the warmest coat I have ever owned. This winter is the coldest we have had in several years and I am warmer than I ever have been. If full length coat comes back in stock, I'll order it too! I also live the pocket size. Not too small for me.
Ordered this online, but the Misses S was way too large. Went to LLBean store in Old Orchard and exchanged for a Petite Small. Perfect fit over a fleece as well. The fabric is smooth, and easy to slip on and off. Length is great. I have an older, full length down coat which I like very much as well in black.
I like the metal zippers, but they take a little practice getting them "locked" so they move up and down easily. The midwest has been experiencing severe cold weather, and this coat stands up to those below zero temperatures and wind chill factors.
I ordered this 3/4 length coat a couple of days ago.....and boy am I glad I did for many reasons. If I had waited, within one day of my order it was sold out in the black/petite which is what I ordered. It came yesterday, late afternoon in the midst of a brutal snowstorm (wonderful UPS delivery service that LL Bean uses)......and I held my breath as I tried it on hoping it would be perfect! AND IT IS!! As stated by many reviewers, its extremely lightweight but that certainly does not keep it from being warm as toast! I love everything about it, and love that the 'collar' is designed the way it is, so that it keeps my neck very snug and warm, a scarf isn't needed with this coat. And on top of all its great points, it is a very flattering coat. I wore it out this morning after Long Island's latest snow and freezing weather, 14 degrees and only jeans and one of my many LL Bean's Corduroy Big Shirts underneath and was totally warm. Once again I am more than satisfied with my purchase from LL Bean, my go-to place for almost all my clothes!
