I ordered this coat Sunday before Christmas (2013), paid the extra shipping and got it Tuesday Christmas Eve. It went from Maine to Michigan on next day air and arrived ON TIME. So I don't know what some are complaining about on shipping! Great shipping time and arrived just in time while I was on holiday with family in Michigan while it was snowing.
This coat was warm, lightweight, keeps the wind out and is perfect. Now that I'm back in Texas...it's just right as well. Others mentioned that it's not a flattering cut...it's not meant to be. It's meant to keep you warm and it does JUST THAT!!!! I bought XL so I could layer it with a vest but it works with or without extra layering. The hood is great and snaps closed around the neck to help keep the cold out.
Everything about this coat is great. I would recommend it highly.
The Ultrawarm in my normal size Med. Petite fit perfectly. It's light weight, easy to put on and does not look bulky. The zipper works well. On a 20-degree windy day, I was very comfortable while shoveling show. Wore an old sweatshirt and my jeans underneath, and that was adequate. I would have stayed outdoors much longer if my fingers had not been so cold. Driving in the coat is quite comfortable as well. The only change I would make would be deeper pockets to hold my mittens when I go into a store. Bean's Snowfield Boots kept my feet warm as well.
I've had my coat for over 5 years and it's still the best coat. Living in Wisconsin, we are seeing temps as low as -60. the coat keeps me warm. I bought the coat a size up from what I needed so when its cold and i need to wear a sweater under, I'm still comfortable.
I would recomment this coat for -50 and -60 weather too, just like the longer coat. It will keep you warm.
I dry clean the coat twice a year but take the "fur" off before taking it in. I hope this helps.
